Arizona C.S. Lewis Society

Founded June 16, 2004

Purpose: The Arizona C.S. Lewis Society exists to promote the reading and study of the works of C.S. Lewis by the people of Arizona and beyond.
Accomplishments to Date:

“Morning in Narnia” Workshop, October 22, 2005,

            Scottsdale, AZ

            Workshop for Educators on teaching The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

            Part of the “Narnia on Tour” series of lectures held in 28 cities in partnership with

            The Matthew’s House Project, Books & Culture, Broadman & Holman, etc.

“C.S. Lewis, ‘The Bonny Fighter,’” February 27-March 1, 2007,

Tempe, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Tucson, AZ

Series of seven lectures by Dr. Stan Mattson, founder and president of the C.S. Lewis Foundation.   Lectures held ASU, UA, Grand Canyon College and two churches held in partnership with the C.S. Lewis Foundation, United Campus Ministers at ASU, United Campus Ministers at UA, etc.

North America’s only Refereed/Peer-reviewed journal pertaining exclusively to the study of C. S. Lewis and his writings
